The new Völkl Racetiger SC for the 2019/20 season is aimed at a large audience of progressing skiers up to Class 3. This ski behaves particularly well in medium and short turns. It has a structure close to that of a racecarver but more comfortable (Francesca Rudisi); it facilitates short turns for Class-3 skiers because it is intuitive and manoeuvrable (Alex Favaro). The ski "needs little space to perform well" (Rolando Bertolina), it is quite "manoeuvrable and responsive" (Fabio Dellavedova), with an "excellent edge grip, playful in cut handling" (Stefano Casalino). This ski has "good entry into turns and remains stable underfoot," writes Laura Jardi, but it becomes "unstable at high speed and doesn't respond immediately," concludes the Spanish skier. The Racetiger SC reacts poorly at high speeds, especially in large bends; it is suitable for skiers above the targeted level because it may be difficult to deform for skiers who cannot control it perfectly.
