Testers' Ratings

This versatile freestyle board combines efficiency and ease thanks to its superb presses. Its easily deformed flex is no obstacle to super ollies and stability.

We're always happy to rediscover the Defenders, a highly versatile freestyle board from the Capita range. Once again, what's immediately striking is how quickly you can get to grips with it, with very easy and varied press performance. The waist is balanced, pivotal, agile and progressive, with comfort its primary aim. On-snow contact is excellent, for great control whatever the conditions. When you step up the pace and really get into it, you find welcome support and stability, at least if you stay attuned to what its extremities are doing. That's because the Defenders' main personality trait lies in its active tips. They deliver a big ollie that's very easy, but powerful, although riders still have lots of control. It combines all the qualities of a versatile freestyle board with great performance, but the responsiveness of the tips means that it eclipses all the other versatile models in its category.
