Testers' Ratings

This lightweight, high-end Freeride is impressively easy to handle given its high-speed performance. Its outstanding on-snow feel gives you comfort and precision, bite and liveliness.

This year, the Landlord has the honour of being revisited in Mystery version, in an ultra-lightweight and high-end build unique to Burton. It keeps its essential Freeride spirit, with plenty of comfort and solidity at steady speed. It boosts confidence in tricky terrain and efficiency in big rounded turns. At medium speed, it handles like an all-mountain but with sharp and active edge-to-edge. What makes it outstanding is its progressivity and flow despite its feather-light weight. Burton has pulled off a delicate balancing act in retaining this level of snow contact, absorption and feeling on such a lightweight board; theoretically, it should be more sensitive to vibrations. This symbiosis of smoothness, performance and solidity makes it punchy without being elitist. In fact, there's never been an ultra-performance board so easy to handle.
